MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK

fightorflights

Every year, between 11-17 May,we help toraise awareness of mental health and wellbeing issues.

Sinceour first Mental Health Awareness Week backin 2000 we have helped generate public debates around how anxiety, sleep deprivation and exercise can impact our mental health. This year we’re talking aboutMindfulness.

MENTAL HEALTH IT AINT NO JOKE, ITS TIME TO SILENCE THE IGNORANCE AND STIGMA AND EDUCATE THE WORLD. AND ONLY THEN WE CAN PROGRESS FORWARD AS A CARING AND UNDERSTANDING SOCIETY AND RECOVER AS ONE WITHOUT EMBARRASSMENT OR JUDGEMENT.

    • Yes, it’s difficult to find the right images to portray certain things. We aren’t all self harming in that way or sitting around clutching our head in our hands. It’s a hidden illness. I’m pleased that the campaign to change stock images is going great though.
